Did you know: the first LumenCache product was named “Legacy”? It was ONLY supposed to be a Proof-of-Concept to get investment and build Epoch (more about that later). Well, I was 10 YEARS too early! See Investment discussion for more on that. That’s where the “L-” prefix came from. L2- was a band-aid to get some profit margin into the product and to fix a critical flaw that kept Legacy from allowing most new LED driver chips. There’s nearly $2m of completed L- and L2- projects out there operating since 2012. Some run for years without a hiccup. Some have exposed all the technical challenges and what we needed to address to create the most robust platform–ReNetA.
